We're pretty much settled into the new trailer and it's nice and cozy for the two of us. We gave away the couch and rearranged the rest of the furniture (dinette and 2 recliners). While we haven't been snowed on, we have had to watch the temps and spent a few days south of Ft Wayne, In. without water. The campground hadn't turned it on yet.
We've considered this our "shakedown cruise" for the new Prairie Schooner and it spent a few days in Elkhart, IN getting some minor repairs. If ever in Elkhart and you need RV repair, I enthusiastically support Charger RV Repair. They did a great job with what they had to work with and got us on our way. We still have a couple of issues but that's just because Gulfstream, Inc didn't have the parts. We're warm and dry though and very comfortable. Thank goodness for our friends Glyn and Cindy in St. Joseph, MI who were kind enough to put us up for a few days while the trailer was in the shop.

And we bought a scooter. But first we sold the bikes and carrier on Craigslist, shopped around and got 1 to start with. We can get our cycle endorsement on our way through S. Dakota. We've also stopped at towns along the way that were home to Gail's ancestors and she continues to go to the courthouses and pour through the huge, dusty books of old records. Had some successes too. Up in northern WI, we will try and fill in some holes in Bill's family line.
Soon, we will be leaving and head west to Idaho. Family to see, friends to visit and catch up with and doctors to see. Then, on to our jobs in Oregon, in July, and the s. Utah in Sept and Oct. Should be a good summer and hopefully it warms up soon.
Till next time,
Bill and Gail
